Supplier Management/Capacity Uplift
An industrial hydraulic pump manufacturer was seeing 50-70% volume growth over the next year with one of their key customers. Their sourcing team was spending most of their time on making sure their suppliers were meeting weekly shipments and did not have the resources to understand the impact of the future volume growth.
That is when they reached out to our Sourcing Solutions team. We analyzed their supply base and chose key suppliers with over 900 parts representing 80% of their buy to survey their ability to reach the new capacities in the 6 month timeframe. Within 4 weeks we had collected all supplier data and identified suppliers that needed help meeting the new capacities.
Our supply chain experts took on the additional role of managing these suppliers through the 70% capacity uplift to successfully meet the new volumes.
